Something Old

I found this image in my archive today while working on my other website for NJ Photographer Paul Guba. I got me to thinking about where I was then and where I am today. Much has changed. This was created using a 4×5 view camera and then scanned by my long time friend Gavin. Gavin used a film scanner that filled a whole room where he worked, I think it weighed over a ton. I however today still have a love of objects probably honed from spending hours tramping through flea markets on early morning Saturdays with my father. The image was shot in John Manno’s studio on 22nd St. NYC I was lucky to work there an we still remain good friends. Lots of good memories linked to this image. They maybe more important then the image itself. I have learned that is often how it works in photography.
